Museum of Science and Industry

Yesterday we took the three older boys to the museum of science and industry (Grandma and Grandpa were very nice and kept Connor for us!). The boys had a blast! I would highly recommend it for anyone with little kids, especially boys. It's all totally hands on, which for boys is a must. There's huge tractors, combines, planes, magnets, electricity, water, science experiments, etc., all the things that get the boys blood pumping, lol. They had the most fun in the "idea factory" where you get to play with all sorts of things....giant scales, cranks to make machines go, water tables, water guns, and tons of other stuff. The only thing they didn't like was the Fairy Castle exhibit. Which is basically a huge doll house in a glass case and you can look at all the rooms. We went through there in record time, lol, only to come out complaining why they even had to do it. One thing we were disappointed in was the coal mine. The boys were looking forward to doing it, but because of Halloween they changed it to a haunted one, and the workers strongly recommended at least being 8. We decided to skip thinking it would scare all three boys, especially Ryan. But we'll definitely be taking the boys back sometime, and we'll see it then. We saw a omnimax movie about the Colorado River that the boys really got a kick out of. At first Matthew freaked out, being that our seats were high up, and he's terrified of heights. But once it started he relaxed. Of course Mommy freaked out because we were seated in the very middle seats, no way to get out, and I had drank two huge Cokes before we went it...add a kicking baby on your bladder, not a good combination, lol. It was a really great time for everyone. I think Tom had as much/more fun than the boys. It was an exhausting day for everyone, but well worth it.

And for whatever it's worth, I still cannot figure out how to post pictures so they don't show up in just a straight line...if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to help!
